Being Present Every Day is a Primary Part of How to Plan My Typical Day at Work
I continue to learn more and more every day in this blogging business. I expect that will be a lifelong thing since the internet is constantly evolving. There is no such thing as just checking in to work and not being very present and aware of all the aspects of my business. To be in best – and most efficient – form, I know it is important to be aware of how to plan my typical day at work. I have a schedule of work I follow, and I implement it, day in and day out.
It is a business, so I treat it that way, even though I'm at home, or on vacation…when I go to work, I'm at work. And planning my work day gives me the best results- oh, by the way, in the shortest possible time, too.
One thing my coach taught me early in my blogging career was how important it is to have a consistent plan for every working day
I have a website, and the only reason anyone ever gets to it, is because they found my link.
There is just not any other way for them to come to this site.
That means my link has to be out there for them to find. Makes sense, doesn't it?
Regular Online Presence
For my readers like you to find me, I have to be findable. That means I need to know how to plan my typical day at work so that I can be consistent with my postings and communications online.
There are several ways I do that, and I do some of each every single working day.
One way, of course, is to blog.
Blogging means writing a post. The post has to be about something someone somewhere is going to find interesting, or no one will ever read it.
There are 3.5 Billion people on the internet in the world. The odds are pretty good that if I know a way to solve some problem, there are people out there who will like and try the solution I offer.
It's just numbers. And working the numbers, the odds, is part of how to plan my typical day at work.
So what I do, when I blog, is I identify a problem I know about. It may be something I have personally experienced. It may be something I have wondered about.
Creative Mindful Life Design
I am very committed to helping people find creative mindful ways to design their lives the way they want to live them. I believe we all have amazing possibilities we are meant to have and experience in life.
So basically everything on my website comes down to that central theme. And I plan my work day around it.
There are different areas of life that I talk about: Physical Health and Well-Being, Spiritual Growth and Wellness, Family and Love, Career and Business and Creative Life and Wellness. They all are aspects to the full life we have. Each one has its own importance in our Life Design.
It is good to select one area at a time, to chunk it down. Work on design in that area, then branch out.
I encourage you to sign up for my newsletter in the right corner, and get your Free Ebook on the Law of Attraction. Back to Being Found
There are some really clear techniques to being effective on the internet. That means your readers can find you.
One of those is using keywords. I have an article about keywords here.
Effective use of keywords is how the search engines find you and help your readers find you.
There are other activities that help your blog to be found.
Being active online helps. The activity is not just on your own blogsite.
Being active on Social Media is a huge benefit.
Every working day, I go on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google Plus. It only takes a few minutes, but I post regularly to those sites.
It is part of how to plan my typical day at work…I recently started using a service to help with some of my posts, and that leaves me more time to read and make comments on the posts and boards I like to frequent..
I am not talking about communicating with my community or family. I am talking about posts for and about my business.
I may put a quote up that I find personally inspiring. I may put some pictures up of a trip I took or some activity I have been involved in. I put up updates on my blog so my readers will know I have put something new up that they may want to take a look at. I often put up posts on products I've found that are especially interesting.
Having a blog is about having relationships with my readers. I want them to know me, and I want to get to know them.
I have great solutions for life challenges. I want people to see them, to trust me about them and to try them out for their own lives. I want to make a difference in people's lives!
Comments on Other People's Posts and Blogs
Another technique I use is to be actively involved with other people's blogs and posts. Every working day, I go to some of my favorite blogs and read and make comments on them. I spend about 30 minutes each day doing this.
It is not a huge amount of time, but it is an important part of implementing my planning for my working day. A lot of it is written blogs and a lot is on YouTube.
I learn interesting stuff. I share with the writer how they have benefitted me with what they wrote. I may ask clarifying questions.
And you know what, they answer me!
Not only do I get to expand what I know, but everytime I visit someone's blog or Facebook post, I am building my own brand recognition.
When I post on someone else's blog, I leave not only the comment, but put in the URL of one of my own blogs. That gives me backlinks that help my Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
And that circles right back to what we are talking about- being found by my readers on the big giant internet.
Backlinks help SEO!
I am serious about making a difference in people's lives. Because I take this seriously, I treat it in a very business-like way.
I have a schedule I follow, with specific tasks to do each and every working day.
Where have I learned- and continue to learn – all this great stuff? I started out with Wealthy Affiliate. They do have good training there…BUT out of that, my mentor Bo Tipton and a group of us started a much less costly way to get the training you can get on WA and so much more. It's only $6.95 a month! And you can become an affiliate too.
When I first went there, I started checking it out. I was so impressed that I signed up for the Premium membership within two days. I knew this was right for me.
Is it right for you? Check it out for yourself by going here. Then you will know.
Along with Wealthy Affiliate I have had a coach, who has worked with a small group in a mentorship capacity. Our group put all his trainings on a special website so others can access it. Check it out…It's only $6.95 a month! Amazing stuff!
